Target audience

From being a regular viewer of this channel and knowing what is broadcast on it it gives me a bit of knowledge that the target audience for my animation are teens to young adults ( 15-30). The reason why I say this because what they broadcast on this TV channel is more comedy and soaps aimed more for young adults. I'am a regular viewer of this channel and the only thing that I see that could attract older adults age 30+  would be the movies that they have sometimes everything else would be aimed for younger adults and teens. I asked a few older people like my mum and a few of her friends to sit down and watch some of the stuff that I record on my sky box and after and hour of flicking trough some programs that were broadcast on E4 they said non of the programs appeal to them, they are all age 40+ they said the programs were funny at times but that they did not grabbed their attention and they even though that some of the things that happened in the programs such as how I meet your mother and scrubs would be silly for them to even stop and watch for longer then 10 minutes the only program that they though was interesting to watch would be charmed this is a program about witches, it is quite old so maybe that is why is more interesting for older adults.
I also think that the channel is more aimed at young adults because all the other entries for the E String competition also look like they think they are this is because all their animations are fun and some make no sense but a young adult will get the sense of humor from that animation and older adult I don't think will find it as funny but maybe silly and stupid.
Taking that into account I will be aiming my animation to the more youthful teen and young adults.
