boxes movements

So when I was doing the development of my box idea I wanted to draw the way was going to move so I had an idea on how to animate the box. But I found that their was not images on Google about this so the best thing for me to do was research in animations that use cardboard boxes moving in any way so I have a visual of other people work and how they think they move.

This is an animation I found is called cardboard box falling animation this is a very realistic and very well timed but is not the kind of movement  I'm looking to create in my animation so it does not help me much.

This is a great animation I found on You Tube the title of this animation is Burger Box. This animation shows well realistic movements a cardboard box would do by shuffling from side to side to move forward and also having the to flapping every time it moved. This is great research for me it gives me more of an idea of how you would expect to see a box move.

  

This animation is called Rigged cardboard 3D model. This animation only opens but as that is a movement that  may be planning to do that gives me a visual of how to do it.

This animation is called Test- box animation. this animation is great the box doesn't have realistic movements in this animation what I mean by this is that the way the box twists and squashes and stretches in this animation would not be the way a real box would do it because if you would try to twist a normal cardboard box like this the box would rip but this animation has taught me that adding exaggerated movements and some unrealistic movements as long as they are well planned and animated it works well, so having some of though movements exaggerated in my animation could work well.

    

Problems with some ideas

So after all the research I did for all my ideas I came to the conclusion that their are two ideas that would not work for what I'am trying to do and the timing I have have left to do it in,
This ideas are Break out game idea and the post it idea.
I will explain further the problems with this ideas and why I choose to leave them.
First the Post it idea, with this idea the problems that I came across were really the post its I have searched every story in Bedford that would sell post its and I have found that the colors I need. Purple and white are post it colors that are very hard to find. I even though of just getting the purple and I could do use my white walls at home for the white bits of the logo because one of the restrictions of this competition was that I had to use the E4 logo on my animation and the E4 logo colors are purple and white so I went to the internet in search of the purple post it and where I could find purple post it notes but again that was a problem the post it notes that i found came in bundles of colors their wasn't just purple ones and they would take a lot of time getting delivered and time was something very important to me so I though the best thing was to just leave this idea alone as their was to much problems with it and I had more ideas that I liked better.

The Break out game idea well the problems with this idea was more the timing after the research I done for this animation I realized that form me to create the E4 logo out of the blocks would take quite a long time all the modeling and the trying to animated 10 second of just the game would be quite boring but my main issue was time the main reason why time is so important to me is because I been working a lot so that has cut my hours I can spend creating this project so I opted to create something more simple and quick to animate, from the other ideas I had.

Another reason why I decided to cut my ideas just to two ideas is because they are a lot more exiting even though they are more simple but sometimes simple is better so the ideas now that  i'am going to explore further are only the box idea and the string idea.

So for this idea I will be using post it so I will be looking for images of things that have been constructed by post it so I have an idea of how to create the E4 logo with them.



 
Here are just a few images that I found this shows me that I can use post its to create any image I want if people use post it to create wall are and feel a all room with them creating a amazing image with them I can manage to create the E4 logo.

For this idea I will be using the break out game so the best thing is for me to look at images that I can find of this game so I can see how to model it in 3D but also what different styles I can do that in because this game is quite old so the styles of it has evolved throughout the years so the best thing is having all this different styles together so I can have a visual of how it looks like so I can reproduce that style and feel on my idea.

 

From this images I can see that the break out game has changed a lot trough out the years and so as its style and that it also changed from 2D to 3D.
